Your thinking is largely influenced by your beliefs. Beliefs are not right or wrong, they are effective or not. If you have a belief that is not supportive of you, you need to find a way to change that belief. The first step is to become aware of your beliefs and how they impact on your thinking.

Your thought processes are not only what you say to yourself (self-talk) but also include the pictures, sounds, smell, feelings and tastes that you experience. In order to create change, positive self-talk is not enough; all 6 components (taste and smell to a lesser degree) of focus should be positive. Consider what it will feel like to be like this.
